Q Crane & Plant Hire are uniquely placed to support our customers with both Crawler Cranes and Heavy Plant across a wide variety of sectors and projects.
We’re based in Oldham, Greater Manchester and are a privately owned company that has been established for over 50 years since 1972. Our equipment has evolved over the years as we have heavily invested to make sure we provide modern, innovative products that are available in the market, including the latest Tier 5 and Tier 4 Engines that are ULEZ and HS2 Compliant. One thing that hasn’t changed as we continue to grow as a business is our Quality.
We believe in providing the best equipment that’s fit for purpose and delivered to your site on time. We achieve this by taking a proactive approach with our customers as every customer has a dedicated Account Manager on our Hire Desk as well as having the support of a highly experienced and dedicated Management Team across all the functions in the business.
Our Head Office and Depot is a six-acre site offering ideal facilities for secure storage, compliance testing and regular servicing of our Crawler Crane and Plant fleet. We have a fully equipped workshop with a fully trained and experienced team of Engineers enabling us to provide a 24 hour Call Out Service throughout the UK.

Corporate Social Responsibility
We continually look at ways of how we can support local charities, and this was why we launched the ‘Q in the Community’ programme in 2016. We have been involved with a number of charity events over the years but in February 2018, we donated the following items as part of a Winter Collection organised by Barnabus, a Homeless Charity based in Manchester City Centre: 10 sleeping bags, 50 sets of gloves, hats, socks and thermals together with a collection of winter clothes.
We did this when the temperature dropped to sub-zero in Manchester as we wanted to do our bit to support people who are vulnerable in these kinds of weather conditions when sleeping rough.
This year we have also supported IBD Warriors WALK IT Manchester in June raising £100 for a member of our team who has a family member that suffers from Crohns Disease.
Our efforts have focused on supporting the fantastic charity that is MAHDLO based locally in Oldham. We have recently sponsored their Annual Winter Ball in November 2018 by supplying raffle prizes.
We’re now looking at how we can support more local charities over Christmas with our fund raising not only supporting MAHDLO but also Our Lady & St Christopher’s RC Church, The Children’s Society Holts Estate Oldham and The Dementia Warriors.
